One month 'til Graduation!!...Ian, Rachel, Austin, Paige, Julia, Lauren & Alexis

Ian is an inspiration! He is a focused Senior who loves baseball at Westwood, but also knows what he wants to do in the future.  His plan is to pursue a Hotel Tourism & Recreation Management degree at Alabama, then go to Culinary School in hopes of becoming a NYC chef!  Sounds awesome!!  He is a huge sports fan- namely the Twins & the Packers.  Talkative and easy going, Ian has a lot going for him. Here are a few of our favorites from the shoot.

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Growing up in West Virginia, Westwood Senior Rachel spent a lot of time outdoors- so, for her photo shoot she wanted to bring this out!  She is casual and stylish, with a love for camouflage, the color black, and her four door truck! For her Senior graduation trip she and her family are visiting relatives and friends in Houston & West Virginia- have a great time!

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Austin is a McNeil Senior who we've been photographing with the track team for the past four years.  He's an easy subject- easy going and relaxed with a great smile.  Texas Tech will be a great place for him and his love of khaki shorts!  Thanks to his parents for their help and continued support.

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We took these photos with Paige on the first day of Westwood's Spring Break- a perfect 80 degree blue sky day.  She was leaving in the morning to go on a college scouting trip to the east coast- Penn State & Washington D.C. were on the list!  She is planning on majoring in Business- a great launch pad for many opportunities.  Did we capture her wild abandon smile in this one? :)

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Julia has done some modeling in the past and has a natural ease in front of the camera. Thank you to her mom for her help at the shoot.  She is the Trojan Belle Social Officer and has been dancing since she was a little girl. At the time of the shoot she had not quite decided on her college plans, although the chance of majoring in psychology at TCU is a likely possibility!

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Lauren from Cedar Park High School is one of the most charismatic and lively Seniors we have met.  A few of her many interests, as you can see in these fun photos are music, makeup and shoes!!  Love it!

     ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Alexis went to State for the McNeil Swim team this year- let's see if we got this right: 8th in the 200 free, 11th in the 100 free, and 12th in the 50 free- thats incredible swimming!  She is one of four sisters and brought two of them and her mom for her styling entourage- it was a lot of fun! She and her family were off to Garner State Park for some Spring Break camping after the shoot- GSP is one of our favorite places of all time!

Lovely Senior Ladies: Christina, Jilly, Danielle, Chelsea & Leah

Lots of Senior posts to catch up on over here in our busy nearing-the-end-of-school season.  May not feel like it, but graduation is just around the corner!  We'll be getting all of our seniors on here soon- so if you don't see yourself today, keep checking back as we are working hard to blog & tag everyone.  Thanks for your patience!

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Christina was up early for this shoot out at St.Edwards.  She is a laid-back and down to earth Senior from Lake Travis, with beautiful long legs, natural beauty and a great smile.  While studying Engineering at LSU next year, her Mom will certainly miss her- they seem to have a great relationship.  Here are a few of our favorites-

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We've photographed Jilly before as part of the McNeil Cheerleadering squad, but we really enjoyed having some one-on-one time with her on her Senior Safari.  We went to Riverbend Church, Hey Cupcake! and the Lake- all great locations to bring out her vibrant personality!  Congratulations on your National's victory and all the other tournaments that your club cheer team has won- amazing accomplishments!  Best of Luck next year & keep in touch!

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Danielle and her Mom were here at our studio on a beautifully sunny day and it was a lot of fun getting them smiling & goofing around.  She is an Anderson High School softball outfielder with natural, relaxed movements and very sweet disposition.  I know how much her younger sister is going to miss her when she goes off to college next year- maybe ordering a wall collection for her of these three images would help!

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here is another Anderson High School Senior- a Trogan Belle Dance Team Captain- meet Chelsea!  We had a great time with her parents & brother at the shoot & are thankful for their help.   I wonder if her other siblings know all the names of all of her jumps as well as her brother Logan did! And what a jumper she is- it's no wonder she's won so many awards!

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Leah is also a Trojan Belle at Anderson High with many jumps and victories to feather her cap.  She has applied to ten prestigious colleges nationally and although not 100% sure where or what she will study (possibly Psychology), it wont be History!  This was a very cold day for a photo shoot, but she had a great attitude and simply made up her mind that she was not going to be cold.  That kind of determination will get you very far in life, Leah!

Chad & Jenn, Mitch & Liz

What a great birthday present from Chad to Jenn!!  This couple loves to hang out at outdoor cafes, whether for breakfast or happy hour.  Thanks to two of their favorite hang-outs, Le Cafe Crepe of Austin and to The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen for their generous hospitality and patience!

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Mitch & Liz took me on an eclectic tour of Austin- we went to the Long Center, some historical homes in Central Austin, the LBJ Library, Lake Austin & the Eastside- just to name a few!  Each of these places have a special significance for them and I loved hearing about the memories they've created and love of architecture and Texas! Here are a few of our favorites-

Sweet, Cute & Petite - Babies!!

Little itty bitty babies are so adorable and precious.  Capturing these early moments in their lives and the love in the parents faces is one of the many joys in photography.  Here are some of the recent sweet, cute & petite bundles of joy we have met..

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here are twins Max & Mia, welcomed by long-time family friend Carlo with his new wife Shannon and their adorable son Harrison.  It was so much fun to have this gang in our studio and to hear about their recent parenting experiences, escapades and excitement!

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ross is another long-time family friend that we have loved catching up with- especially meeting his new baby, Braxton, and getting to know his wife Kelley a little more.  They are doing a wonderful job as new parents- at six weeks in, they seem well-adjusted and are showering him with love.  Here are a couple of our favorites-

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Baker household is full of life!! Not just with two brand new babies, an adorably rambunctious toddler and high-energy parents- but add in bright colors & interactive spaces and the mind is boggling around!  They wanted to candidly capture this energy of their home, and we were happy to have had two photographers on this shoot to do just that!  We love how these images turned out, and are planning to do a large display of them here in our studio.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Baby Noah is the first child and the first grandchild- a special little boy who is welcomed into this world by very sweet, loving and easy-going parents and grandparents.  Jasmine was referred to us by a family that she nannies for- she must be very good at her job because she makes new motherhood look easy.  We are looking forward to seeing how these portraits get displayed in their new house!

Family Impressions from Fall & Winter, 2009

As we dart into Spring, we'd like to get another blog up from some past shoots we are excited about!  Many of these clients have already purchased their wall collections and prints, but for future shooting reference, hopefully seeing these families in various locations around Austin will inspire your decision to schedule a shoot with us soon!  So, in no particular order, here they are...

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We are so happy The Hillis Family is a fan of Cupprimo! They saw our permanent display there- if you haven't been in, the cupcakes are well worth the trip!  The address is 8650 Spicewood Springs Road- just a few miles from Natural Impressions.

Thanks for introducing us to this great little nature oasis in Cedar Park.  It was a fun little (alright, a bit more than little) hike to get there, but as you can see has stunning oak trees and bubbly creeks with a very Austin look - it was worth it!  It also has a neat historical monument with great textures and natural colors that we love!

These sisters were fun, sweet and delightful.  The little one's new favorite word that day was "Monster!" and she would get so excited & fascinated when anyone of us said the word, she would run around screaming and laughing!  Hilarious! As you can see, sometimes we truly do have a play date together!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This is another on-location shoot, this time in downtown Austin by Palmer Auditorium- great colors in the plantings and limestone walls, with a lot of natural light.  We photographed the oldest Despain daughter for her Senior pictures, and here she is back home for the holidays- a perfect time to get everyone together!!

This family is so beautiful and full of love and laugher- it was obvious how much they get along and enjoy each other- truly Relaxed, Reflective & Real!!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We have been privileged to photograph the Buros family for years- they giggle and smile easily, and up for anything.   This shoot was no different!  We hiked down to an old cabin in NW Austin, and despite the cold, laughed our way through it- no complaints!  Their family dynamic is very entertaining- Mr.Buros pretends to be serious, but his hilarious commentary and prankster nature keeps us rolling.  And, thanks always to Mrs.Buros for being so organized and detailed, yet very easy going!

Congratulations sisters on your Engagements, Graduations and New Endeavors- we can't wait to hear more about them!!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here is another longtime & valued client, the Majcher-Smith family!  We have been photographing the sweet daughter since she was just a few years old- and now she is almost in high school!  As an only child, she is friendly, well-spoken, giggly and very likable.  These images were taken at Brushy Creek.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Here are three generations of the McCreight Family!  Gathering together over the holidays, they wanted to be sure that their love of water and boating was represented.   Their lake near Buda was beautiful- too bad it was a littlle chilly to show off their waterskiing talents!

Second Generation McCreights and their spouses!

And Third Generation- all beautiful & happy!!  Hope you guys had a wonderful time together!!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

In these next few family sessions, you may notice that Cindy & Maari are both the photographers- we do this occasionally to get a number of different angles and styles, making the session sometimes shorter but with more variety.  If you'd like both of us at your next shoot, just ask!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We met the Carr family through our involvement with the March of Dimes.  This portrait session of their adorable one-year-old twin daughters was done in our outdoor Studio Garden here at Natural Impressions.  We hope you enjoy these melt-your-heart expressions as much as we do!

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This little toddler is the center of the Casey Family Universe- and for good reason!  These images are from out Studio Garden at Natural Impressions, and showcases several garments that her parents bought while traveling around the world!  Thank you to Kim Ball for the wonderful referral!  We offer great rewards for both the referral-ee and referral-er, so be sure to mention how you found out about us, and tell your friends!!!

Mrs.Canter first saw our photo's at Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) in Round Rock at 940 Hester's Crossing- if you haven't been in- check it out and let us know what you think!  She first asked us to speak at her church about photography (thank you so much- it was fun!) for a group of Mothers, and later asked us to photograph her beautiful family!  We have really enjoyed getting to know you and your family, and look forward to more sessions together!  Here are a few of our fall leaves favorites from this NW Austin location.

    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We have photographed the Pasternak's a number of times over the years- in fact, Cindy entered in this "Snowbaby" photo into a contest at a Family & Children's Conference in 2007 and won first place!

This time we had the grandparents in town and went out to Bull Creek.  Can you pick out this little cutie a few years older?

    Sarah!

Sarah is a tremendous volleyball player at Dripping Springs High School.  She is not only a great athlete, but a talented musician, as well as beautiful, bubbly and outgoing!  Music comes naturally to her; it's in her blood you could say.  With everyone in the family either playing the guitar, another instrument or singing (or all of the above) they are known to rock out every now and then!  Here are some of our favorites from our Safari together~

    Kalyn!

Believe it or not, Natural Impressions has been photographing Kalyn since she was in pre-school at St.Theresa!! We have really enjoyed watching her burgeon from a cute kid into a beautiful woman!   Kalyn has always had huge smile that beams confidence, and has always been easy-going and relaxed- we really admire that!  We are excited to share more portrait sessions with The Schieffer's younger children in the future, and equally thrilled that we will hear how Kalyn is doing in college through them.
